I didn’t know what to do
With the feeling of loss
Then I thought of you
My little grapefruit
(For that’s what we called you)
Barely alive
But real enough
To dream up a whole life
With you in it
But I had to learn
To let you go
And even though you’re gone
You’re everywhere
You’re letting me know
